About the event

Shakespeare’s most popular magical tragedy was first performed by BC in 2013 with a sell out tours in 2018 and 2019. The piece follows the Macbeths’ war for the Scottish throne under the influence of witches - spells, prophecies, devious plots, bloody murders and a tragic love story.

After Bowler Crab teamed up with Art In The Park for the first time to bring you A Midsummer Night's Dream this year, it was such a success that BC are back already! An outdoor performance in Alexandra Park, Hastings. The performance is entirely outdoors on the bowling green. Please bring a picnic blanket or lawn furniture to enjoy this performance. Whilst tickets will be available on the door, pre-booking is advised. The performance begins at 3pm and ends at 5.30pm, including an interval of 30 minutes.

No alcohol is allowed on the premises, No dogs are allowed on the premises and no smoking is allowed on the premises. The performance will be amplified with microphones for the actors.

Based in East Sussex, Bowler Crab are a small independent theatre company that specialise in Shakespearean performances, casting actors from The National Theatre, BBC, The Globe, ITV, Channel 4 and film. With frequent haunts around the 1066 area, Bowler Crab also produce UK tours as well as repertoire performances for schools, festivals, dining experiences, weddings and private events. ​The company was founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Stephen John, with a company goal to complete the Shakespearean canon across a fifty year plan.
